Happy with our days efforts, there is time for a picture.

Lynda is bringing out a shovel load.
We placed the dirt from the middle of the lodge outside the door in a mound. This reflects the hollow inside.
The hole will become the "pit" to hold the hot rocks.

The rock walls are finished and the inside of the sweat has a smooth cement wall.

The walls are going up and the women are here to help too.

Building of the sweat lodge

After years of sweatlodges made from bamboo, tarps, and blankets we decided it would be better to build a permanent sweat lodge.

Well it is the opening day for the new and improved Turtle Sweat Lodge..
